Participation in this program is open to students in Years 2-6. This program aims to encourage and develop in each student, an awareness of effective communication skills and appreciation of language. It further aims to develop self- esteem and confidence through lessons that are stimulating, interesting and enjoyable. This complements classroom Arts programs in the development of speech communication and confidence.
Speech and Drama teachers are available for small group tuition (during school time) for students from Year 2- 6. Class sizes aim to have no more than 5 students to ensure personalised opportunities. Lessons, conducted weekly, and in school time, are of half hour duration.
Chess lessons are available to interested students. Experienced coaches comed to the school to help students develop their strategic play. The classes cater to all abilities and ages. The chess club is held Tuesday mornings (7.30am-8.30am) at a cost of $10 each lesson, per child. Enrolment forms are available to download from Skoolbag, the Parent Portal or from the Front Office.
Children will be given the opportunity throughout the year to attend after school AFL Auskick coaching by highly qualified football coaches. Dates for the AFL Auskick programs are advertised through the newsletter. Please visit
