St Vincent's School, located by a beautiful lake and in very pleasant surroundings is a well resourced school and an exciting place for children to play and learn. Our modern, fully air-conditioned school boasts wonderful facilities to promote active learning and engagement. Classrooms are clean and bright and include specialist rooms for Italian, Music, Learning Support, Speech and Drama and Instrumental Music.
Central to our learning is our 21st century Resource Centre. Here, children and staff can use a number of break out rooms, participate in lessons or just lay back in a cushion to enjoy a good book from our extensive selection. Teachers, too, enjoy the comprehensive range of resources available to enhance student learning. Our learning spaces are technologically rich with data projectors, iPads, and laptops to inspire creative, productive and efficient learning.
Outside, students enjoy a large open playing field, shaded basketball and handball courts, and adventure playgrounds. The large 'shed' area is used for Physical Education and serves as a wonderful shaded area for students at play as well as a school gathering space. Prep children enjoy a special playing space right outside their classroom doors. Covered walkways between learning spaces assist protection from rain and sun.
A purpose built uniform shop and commercial kitchen tuckshop assist families to provide children with a healthy and nutritious lunch and all their uniform requirements.
Having Sacred Heart Church right at our door provides the opportunity for the whole school community to gather each Monday to pray in this sacred space and for classes to visit the church to enhance children's understanding of the Catholic traditions and rituals.
